The head of the Construction Litigation team, Charles Edwards, MSt(Cantab) MSc(Lond) FCInstCES Barrister is a legal expert in construction and engineering law, a member of the Technology and Construction Bar Association (TECBAR) which is the specialist Bar Association for Barristers who practise in the Technology and Construction Court, before adjudicators, arbitrators, both domestic and international, and other tribunals. Charles is also a member of the Chancery Bar Association.

decision in relation to complex construction and engineering works.

High Court (TCC) – Proceedings in relation to Defective Works

Advising and acting in TCC (High Court) proceedings regarding defective work on a major construction project following proceedings between the Employer, Contractor and Sub-Contractor.

High Court (TCC) – Payment Dispute

Drafted statements of case in connection with negligent surveys for the construction of a new industrial building. This involved breach of contract and the failure to exercise reasonable skill and care, non-payment and damages.

High Court (TCC)– Enforcement of an Adjudicator’s decision

Advised a proposed claimant on the enforcement of an Adjudicator’s decision in the High Court

Advised the proposed defendant on resisting the enforcement of an Adjudicator’s decision in the High Court (TCC).

High Court (Chancery Division) – Winding up Petition (Insolvency)

Advised on a winding petition (insolvency), payment and valuation dispute, the interpretation of contract terms and conditions, a proposed winding-up petition in the High Court and the best strategy to be adopted in order to achieve the client’s objectives and recover the outstanding payment.
