Gray’s Inn Construction Chambers was founded by Charles Edwards, MSt(Cantab) MSc(Lond) FCInstCES Barrister who is a dual qualified first-class Construction Barrister and has a tradition of excellence in construction and engineering law. Charles is a legal expert with over 25 years experience in the construction industry, advising on complex major construction and engineering projects.

Charles’s knowledge and insight has been described as “unparalleled’. Charles’s “grasp and in-depth knowledge of construction, construction law and dispute resolution…is second to none.” Charles is “…extremely dedicated, precise and utterly relentless…”. He has been described as “…a leading thinker in the construction law field” and is “an advocate you most certainly want on your side”.

Charles was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2002 by Middle Temple, is a member of the Technology and Construction Bar Association (TECBAR), a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES),  a member of the Joint Contracts Tribunal Council (the JCT Council) and a member of the Centre for Sustainable Governance and Law for the Built Environment at University College London (UCL).

Charles is a graduate of the University of Cambridge (Departments of Architecture and Engineering), the Centre of Construction Law at King’s College London and the Inns of Court School of Law.
